The Country Programs department manages all ICT4D programs and projects in 11 countries.

Country Officer

The Country Officer will support the Country Programs department in managing the program in an African country by ensuring timely planning, delivery and follow up of IICD activities to meet the results and targets of the established goals.
Summary of key responsibilities
*.Project cycle management of the country projects
*.Managing and communicating with partner organizations in the countries
*.Ensuring target realization of the program portfolio the country
*.Delivering country specific information as required for annual planning and donor reporting
*.Ensuring all country information is captured in internal systems
*.Supporting proposal writing and other acquisition tasks
*.Any other task as assigned by the CM in support of the country program
*.Specific knowledge, skills and abilities:
*.2+ years experience in project management cycle; monitor activities, target realisations, coach our partners towards the set deliveries
*.Able to communicate with different international stakeholders
*.Able to gather necessary information for target realisation, lessons learned, impact of the programmes
*.Contribute to proposal writing for new programmes and projects
*.Excellent written, verbal, networking and interpersonal communication skills;
*.Fluent in English (speaking and writing). Dutch or French is a plus.
Required knowledge, skills and abilities:
*.Master Degree in social/technical/business studies;
*.Thematic expertise and knowledge of ICTs for Economic Development, Water & Climate and/or Education a plus;
*.Knowledge and affinity with ICTs a plus;
*.EU/Dutch working permit;
*.Self-motivated, responsible, with proven commitment to continuous learning and self-development;
*.Independent worker;
*.Results driven;
*.Positive, flexible and optimistic;
*.Creative and entrepreneurial;
*.High degree of professional versatility and hands-on capability;
*.Convincing presenter for small and large groups;
