Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, Hon. Minister of Agriculture & Rural Development of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to share his vision at the EMRC’s Agribusiness forum 2013 coming up on Sunday, 6th to Wednesday 9th October.
Dr. Adesina a distinguished agricultural development expert with 24 years experience in developing and managing agricultural programs across Africa will spotlight his vision for the future of Africa’s Agri-food sector at this year’s forum.
With Nigeria leading the way in developing its own agricultural sector through the country’s Agricultural Transformation Agenda (ATA), Minister Adesina will give his expert outlook on what has to be done and what can be achieved in the Agri-Food Sector.
Before being nominated as Minister, Dr. Adesina was Vice President (Policy & Partnerships) for the Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa (AGRA) and held senior leadership positions in some of the foremost agricultural institutions in the world.
The EMRC Agribusiness Forum 2013 is hosted by the government of Rwanda.
The AgriBusiness Forum is the largest annual pan-African AgriBusiness Forum held on African soil which aims at strengthening the Agri-Food sector in Africa, by encouraging partnerships, exchanging best practices and attracting investments. It is the platform to discuss and present successful projects and business models. This year, the Forum will focus on “The Agri-Food Sector: A Catalyst for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth in Africa”.
